It has been an incredible year for Naked Therapy and Sarah White Therapy! A lot has happened in our first full year as a practice. We’ve been named Best of the Web 2011 by Thrillist, one of the Top Ten Sexiest Geeks of 2010 by Wired Magazine, and perhaps still my favorite accolade is being pronounced the “Naked Granddaughter of Sigmund Freud” by a Viennese journal. With a bounty of news stories and emails, the conversation surrounding Naked Therapy has boomed. And, I’m so pleased to have welcomed three amazing Naked Therapists-in-Training to the team, colleagues who continually impress me with their hard work, thoughtfulness, and beauty.

Looking back, I recognize this year as a turning point for me personally. Naked Therapy started as a theory, and over the course of the year it has proved to be a helpful and positive force in many people’s lives. I’ve become a strong believer in the positive power and potential of this new form of therapy

We have a lot to look forward to in the next year. I’ll be speaking at SXSW with Dr. John Grohol of PsychCentral, Audrey Jung of Jung Psych Services, and Dr. Dawn-Elise Snipes of of Gainesville Counseling. I will also present the art project I’ve been working on with photographers. Finally, I am discussing publishing research with licensed psychotherapists and psychiatrists. And, of course, more surprises to come
